Limitations of Hardware
Graphics Tablet
The graphics tablet allows the user to draw in detail as like they where drawing on paper. This is suitable to create images as it allows the user to get as much detail into the image as possible. When the user is drawing the image will be shown on the the monitor each step they have done and automatically updating as they change. The graphics tablet tablet is powered by your computer, some are quite cheap in price it all depends on the brand. Some of them are quite light in weight and are compatible with most systems. The limitations of a graphics tablet are that it can take longer to draw an image compared to hand drawing, they only come in certain sizes the bigger the size the more expensive they are and you can't really use them for selecting or clicking on objects only for drawing.
Digital Camera
The digital camera allows the user to capture images in high quality. This would be suitable for capturing the image and some sort of manipulating it but you can't put your own touch on it. The digital camera has a good battery life depending on the brand some also need charged by the computer. Most good cameras have a good zoom so the user can capture images even when they are far away. Digital cameras are quite expensive if you want high quality images and depending on the brand of the camera. The limitations of a digital camera is that there is only a number of ways you can change the image, you can upload images to social network sites but only some at a time and you have to be connected to Wi-Fi. You can also to videos but it takes up a lot of space in your memory card. Most smart cameras are quite heavy but have a long lasting battery life. The hardware that I think is the most suitable for creating and manipulating images is the graphics tablet as you can create the image they way you want to adding in detail that you wouldn't normally get. The graphics tablet allows you to also see what the picture will look like on the computer and be able to change it the way you want to.
Limitations of Software
The limitations of PhotoShop which I have used is that PhotoShop is such a big software package that there is so much you can do such as it means that because there is so much unless that you have a lot of experience in using PhotoShop your not going to use most of the features in it. When you expand an image in PhotoShop it looks very pixelated or very bad quality so you have to keep it close to the original size. Images that you have created are not compatible with older versions of PhotoShop. The price of PhotoShop is quite expensive so most people would rather go for something cheaper or free to create or manipulate images. The limitations of Word is that it is a word program which doesn't give you very many options for creating and manipulating images. You can do the basic things such as cropping, flip, rotate and filter etc but there is not much more you can do. When saving an image in word it saves as a Word document not an image so you have to copy it into paint and save it as an image. Some features in Microsoft word are not available in older versions of Word also that you have to but Microsoft word to be able to use it which can be expensive. Sometimes when using large images it makes Word a lot slower.
